Create Gradient Type

Gradient type can have all the colors of the rainbow run through it or nothing but gray.

This video tutorial will show the simple steps involved to create it.

It's called gradient because there's a smooth transition or gradation from one color value to the next.

Sometimes it's used for a colorful headline or if you use gray values it can invoke a feeling of high-tech, skill and importance.

However you decide to use it, you can easily create it in Photoshop Elements.

Once you have it made you can easily change it because the type and the gradient are both on their own layer. If you want to change the font just select the type and go up to the Options bar and choose your changes.

If you want to use a different gradient just choose the gradient you want from the Gradient Picker and drag it over your type.
