Where is my EXIF Data?

by Dave
(California)

Q: How can I view my EXIF data while in full edit mode? I can get to it in the organizer, but the full edit mode only gives me the bare minimum of info.

A: For those who don't know EXIF is an acronym for Exchangeable Image File.

It's information that your camera stores within your photos. It shows you what camera took the shot and what camera settings were used.

I don't know where you looked to find the "bare minimum", but try this if you haven't already.

Go up to the File menu and choose File Info…. In the Dialog box that appears click on the Camera Data tab.

Keep in mind this may be slightly different for different versions of Elements. This is how to find it in versions 8 and 9.

I believe in all versions though you find it under File>File Info… but the Dialog box might have different tab names.

Hope this helps Dave.

Good luck,
Rick
