Remove Glare From Jewelry

by Annette
(New Mexico)

Q: I'd like to know how to remove glare from jewelry photos.

A: Great question Annette!

If the glare is not too strong I would try using the Burn tool to darken the area.

But I'm glad you included a photo because I can see that parts of the jewelry are completely blown out. In that case the easy answer is that you need to clone it out.

But that's not much help if you're not sure how to approach the cloning process. To really show you I felt that I needed to create a complete tutorial of the process. The space in this section is too limited and I'm unable to show you pictures of what I'm talking about.

So I used your photo and question to create a brand new tutorial on how to remove glare from a photo. Check it out by clicking here.
