Photoshop Elements 5 Photo Browser

Q: I love Photoshop, however, I seem to have lost or, at least, am unable to open my Photo Browser in Photoshop Elements 5. It no longer opens automatically. I have used the help section and have tried to open it from the Window tab, but the Photo Browser is checked and greyed out. So, I am unable to open it. If I uninstall and reinstall Photoshop Elements 5 will I lose all of my photos? I'm afraid I can't help you with your question because it would require too much troubleshooting that may be specific to your version of Elements and your operating system.
