How do I change workspace colour in Elements 7?

by Gill
(UK)

Q: I have just got Photoshop Elements 7. The workspace is a dark grey with white lettering which I can barely read. How can I change the workspace and lettering to different workable colours?

A: Hi Gill,
Go under the Edit menu to Preferences>General. Look for User Interface Brightness and change it to your liking.

I hope that helps.
Good luck,
Rick

Its an improvement

Thanks Rick. That has helped a lot. What I would really like to do is make the text bigger but I believe that really isn't possible in Elements.

That would be nice!

Hey Gill I'm glad that helped. You are right that you can't make the type in Photoshop Elements fields bigger.

It would be nice if Adobe offered more customizable interface control. Even with the lightness and darkness adjustment. I hear people around the web say they would like to be able to control the color and brightness of the font separate from the color and brightness of the field's background.

Oh well, Elements is still an amazing program.
