Can't save crop opacity preference

Q: I like my crop shield opacity very dark--93+%. But when I click save or OK the change only stays for that session and every time I open up PS I have to reset the preference. How do I fix this? Thanks. --Kathleen

A: Hi Kathleen,
I haven't experienced that problem. Please leave another comment here and tell me what version of Photoshop you are using.

Looks Like It's A Bug
by: Rick

Hi Kathleen,

I searched some Photoshop Elements forums to see if I could find you a solution for your Crop tool's shield not holding.

There were others who were experiencing the same problem. Sometimes it even reverted back to the default shield during the same work session. It was reported to happen on different versions of Photoshop Elements and on both Mac and PC.

Unfortunately no one had a workable solution, and all concluded that it was a bug in Elements.

Sorry I couldn't give you better news.
Take care,
Rick
