Add Borders in Photoshop Elements

by Jennie
(Fort Collins, CO )

Q: Hi,
I need to add a 1px black border around screenshots and also a 3px red #FF0000 eclipse circle around links on screenshots. I have photoshop elements but have been unable to do this.
Thank you.
Jennie

A: Hi Jennie,
To add a 1 pixel black border around your screenshots just go up to the Select menu and choose All. Then go to the Edit menu and choose Stroke Selection…

A Dialog box will open where you can choose the size and color of your border.

To create a 3 pixel red ellipse it's basically the same procedure except you make a selection with the Elliptical Marquee tool first and then go to the Edit menu and choose Stroke Selection…

Hope this helps. If you need more clarification just add a comment to this post.

Take care,
Rick
